ToP Application Installation and User Guide

Installation

The ToP application is delivered as an Android APK application that can be easily installed on any Android 7+ device.

Using Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox or email.

To do so, load the APK onto a sharing document application of your choice (Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox) or email.

Then click on the APK file and follow instructions

 

 

Using Minimal ADB and Fastboot:

If you don’t have any access to email or else, you can use a USB cable, from your laptop to the cell Phone

  1. you have to allow the USB Communication on the cell phone when connecting it to the laptop

  2. allow the Developer mode:

To unhide the Developer options menu:

  • a) Go to "Settings", then tap "About device" or "About phone".

  • b) Scroll down, then tap "Build number" seven times. ...

  • c) Enter your pattern, PIN or password to enable the Developer options menu.

  • d) The "Developer options" menu will now appear in your Settings menu.

  • e) in this Developer options menu set USB debugging option

  • launch Minimal ADB and Fastboot with program files->Minimal ADB and Fastboot

  • type adb root

  • type adb install /path2apk/apkName.apk (apkName is the name of the release you have to install)

Note: if a previous ToP is already installed you have to uninstall it (press Icon during 2 seconds) before re-installing it.

Application Access

The application should be available via the ToP icon

 

You may be prompted to give the application a certain set of permission, including networking and NFC, please accept them all.

Do not forget to enable NFC capability on the phone. Also make sure the app is allowed to used NFC. This must be done manually on some devices.

You will need perhaps to switch off the firewall for Domain or Private networks. Windows may block the WiFi communication with the cell phone.

Usage

Connection to ACE Client

The first step, when using ToP is to setup the connection with ACE Client running on a Windows computer. Simply enter the computer’s IP address on the popup windows. Of course, the phone’s IP address must also be entered into ACE Client Setup page.

if the Wifi Interface is not set properly on the Cell Phone, you have to select your Wifi network using Settings->CONNECTIONS->Wi-Fi then select your Wifi network, on the same sub network that your laptop and enter the credentials

Once the Wifi is up and running you can start the ToP application:

Once the connection is ready, the WELCOME message is displayed.

In Ace client use the right configuration versus scheme, traces, logs ….

as for example for Visa:

 

Transactions

ToP will wait for incoming transaction requests from ACE Client. When asked to present a card, simply tap the card behind the smartphone until you feel a slight vibration. Keep it around the NFC field until you are asked to remove the card or the transaction outcome (DECLINE / APPROVED) is displayed on the screen.
