The Reader Controller is a plugin in ACE-Client. It appears in Setup page as “Visa Automation”.
It starts the tests by exchanging a Transaction Configuration (STXN) and sends the Transaction Outcome (ETXN) at the end of the transaction.

Actions/Buttons
Prepare
Prepares the Acceptance System before a session. The TERMINAL, PROCESSING configurations and the CAKeys are sent to the Acceptance System.
ECHO
Sends an ECHO administrative message to the Test Tool in order to check if the module can reach the Test Tool.
START
Executes one or several tests according to the number in the box on the right of the button. If the box contains 0 or 1, one test is executed. If the box contains a number greater than 1, executes that number of tests.
Reset
Reset the internal state of the Reader Controller if the state is blocked. To be used mainly if the Acceptance System does not answer to the payment request.

The reader controller expects to receive at least the APDU responses and the signals in order to send the proper information in ETXN exchange.
Steps
Define the Address and the Port of the Test Tool
Prepare the Acceptance System
Update the Administrative settings on Acceptance System according to the wiki
Send the ECHO request to check if the communication with the Test Tool is working
Select the number of tests in the box between START and Reset
Execute the test(s) with START
