Card Emulator (Probe)

Card Emulator (Contact Interface Probe)

The AVT may be use as a Reference for passing EMVCo Contact Certification using the EVAL Certification Tool coupled with the Contact Interface Probe of the Card Emulator

A specific sequence shall be carefully followed for ensure successful communication between the Contact Interface PC/SC Reader and the Card Emulator

  1. Ensure CL=No in ‘agnos.ini’ and Removal=0 in ‘pcsc.ini’

  2. Ensure Probe is removed from reader (i.e. not inserted in Reader)

  3. Start the ACE-Client first and then AVT

  4. Ensure the AVT is properly connected with the ACE-Client (Setup→Test and ‘Welcome’ is displayed in Terminal UI)

  5. Start EVAL and Load the EMVCo Contact Campaign through Load Test Library

  6. Press Set Environment and select FIME Card Emulator

  7. Press Connect

  8. Press Tests, select a Test Case and press the Start the Test button

  9. Press Transaction→Payment in the ACE-Client, ensure 'INSERT CARD’ is displayed in Terminal UI

  10. Insert the Probe into the PC/SC Reader's Contact Interface

It is recommended keeping the Probe inserted inside the PC/SC Reader's Contact Interface throughout the entire Certification Campaign (i.e. keep Probe inserted between each Test)

If Communication with the Probe starts failing then:

  1. Remove the Probe from the Reader

  2. Press Set Environment in EVAL

  3. Press Disconnect

  4. Restart at Step 7. from previous List (shown above)
