Introduction
The Agnos Virtual Terminal (AVT) is an Application that simulates an EMV Payment Acceptance Device running on a PC with PC/SC Readers.
The AVT implements the ACE2P Protocol to communicate with the ACE-Client through a TCP/IP Connection.
The AVT helps understanding how a physical payment terminal shall be interacting with the ACE-Client for:
Training purposes
Performing EMV Payment Transactions
Performing L2 Certification
Simulating a Sale System
Simulating an Issuer Host
Simulating a TMS
Taking advantage of the tools provided by the ACE-Client
ACE and Kizis are integrated through a specific protocol: ACE2P. That protocol shall not be used in production environments. It has been designed to support exclusively TA environments.

Key Advantages
AVT main advantages are:
Emulation: AVT behaves like an actual acceptance device that is L2 certified. It may be used to learn EMV concepts, to test cards or mobiles, to analyse interoperability issues, etc…
Flexibility: AVT uses the same API as an actual Agnos Framework integration project. It is possible to develop L3 applications and to test them outside a rigid embedded system before targeting a specific device
Comprehensiveness: AVT covers all CT and CL L2 requirements
